Program Description:
We offer structured programs for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age. The rich and warm environment of each class is stress-free while providing experiences that meet children’s needs and stimulate their natural curiosity for learning in all physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development areas.
Our highly qualified teachers provide a supportive and caring environment for children to learn in through active exploration and interaction. Each child is viewed as an individual with different levels of ability, strengths, interests, development, and learning styles that are used to design appropriate activities.
Our infant toddler program offers a nurturing and safe environment that allows children to explore their surroundings through repetition, imitation, and identification, with their senses and with hands-on experiences. Warm and positive relationships with teachers help infants and toddlers develop a sense of trust and feelings of competence which develop into healthy self-esteem. Older toddlers are provided with a stimulating and gentle environment to provide for an easy transition between home and school.
Our preschool program emphasizes language activities, math concepts, manipulative, art, music, and movement with an emphasis on concrete, hands-on activities, and many opportunities to see how reading and writing are useful before they are instructed in letter names, sounds, and word identification. Learning about math, science, social studies, health, and other content areas are all integrated through meaningful activities. Children have daily opportunities for expression and appreciation through art and music. Activities are designed to concentrate on furthering emerging skills through creative activity and involvement.
Learning takes place as young children touch, manipulate, and experiment with things and interact with people. Our teachers work in partnership with parents, communicating regularly to build mutual understanding and greater consistency for the children. We are the stepping stone between home and school.
